The cultivation and production of pistachios represents an important source of income for Bronte, a town in the province of Catania, so much so that it is nicknamed the Green Gold, not only for its high nutritional value, but also commercially.

The precious fruit of the Pistachio tree is harvested, exclusively, by hand, is usually shrunk and dried and processed according to artisanal processes.
