The cultivation and production of pistachios represents an important source of income for Bronte, a town in the province of Catania, so much so that it is nicknamed the Green Gold, not only for its high nutritional value, but also commercially.<\/p>\n

The precious fruit of the Pistachio tree is harvested, exclusively, by hand, is usually shrunk and dried and processed according to artisanal processes.<\/p>\n

Pistachios are a unique fruit, rich in nutrients, useful for the proper functioning of the entire organism such as: vitamins (in particular, those of the B group, including folic acid) and valuable minerals, such as Copper, Phosphorus and Potassium. In addition, pistachios are considered complete proteins because they contain all nine amino acids defined as 'essential'.<\/p>\n
