SPAGHETTONI - USES AND CONSUMPTION:
Unlike traditional spaghetti, bronze durum wheat spaghettoni are thicker and longer. After kneading and bronze-drawing the spaghettoni, they are slowly dried at a low temperature to ensure a high quality product, both in taste and yield, which is why bronze-drawn durum wheat spaghettoni always remain al dente after cooking.
These spaghettoni are excellent for any recipe, they hold sauces well, making pasta dishes irresistible, from the simplest ones such as those with garlic, oil and chilli pepper to full-bodied ones such as those with swordfish or meat sauce.
But where did spaghetti originate? There are several theories about this, some say they originated in China and arrived in Italy thanks to Marco Polo, some claim they were introduced by the Arabs, and others attest that spaghetti and noodles originated at the same time, but, clearly, in two completely different places.
