Format: 180g glass jar

INGREDIENTS: Capers 70%, sunflower oil.

CAPER PESTO - USES AND CONSUMPTION:

Capers pesto is a pesto with all-Sicilian origins, composed for 70% of capers from our island. The caper plant is a shrub that is born and grows in the Mediterranean maquis, and spreads with greater density in Sicily. What we find on the table is not its fruit, but rather the pod of a flower, which is picked before it can open.

 

Capers are rich in vitamins and minerals and contain a very high percentage of water, which has a moisturising and diuretic effect, which is why it is recommended for those suffering from cellulite. The caper is a strong antioxidant, anti-cancer, thanks to the presence of the flavonoid kaempferol. Although, they are particularly small, they contain a generous amount of quercetin, a molecule with highly beneficial characteristics for our health, as it fights allergic, metabolic and inflammatory diseases. In addition, capers contain active ingredients with diuretic properties and are also excellent vaso-protectors, they also have antibacterial, antifungal and anti-parasitic properties.
