CLASSIC ALMOND PASTRIES
FORMAT: envelope with bow 200g
INGRADIENTS: Peeled Almonds (50% Min.), Sugar, Cherries (Cherries, Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Water, Acidifier: Citric Acid E330, Flavouring, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate E202, Colouring E120), Honey. Fresh Pasteurised Egg Whites. Raising Agent (Sodium Acid Carbonate, Disodium Diphosphate, Wheat Starch): Preservative: Potassium Sorbate; Flavouring. May contain traces of: milk, wheat flour, pistachios, hazelnuts, walnuts.

CLASSIC ALMOND PASTE MIX - USES AND CONSUMPTION:
Together with cannoli, pasta reale and cassata, almond pastries are one of many popular Sicilian sweets.
Almond paste is used not only as a filling for sweets, but also to make various cakes and biscuits.
The soft almond paste, due to its consistency and ductility, lends itself very well, to create the famous Martorana fruit, a typical Sicilian sweet, which, thanks to the mastery of local pastry chefs, manage to create real sculptures, which we can admire in the fabulous imitation and preparation, of fruit and vegetables, such that they are likely to be mistaken for the real thing.
Our almond pastes are made from 50% shelled and peeled almonds, handmade according to the traditional Sicilian recipe, which are pressed in a roller machine with sugar together with the other ingredients and flavourings. The particular characteristic of these sweets is their friability. In fact, they have a crunchy but not too crispy outer crust and a soft, fragrant heart inside. They are excellent to enjoy during the day, especially in winter, perhaps in front of a book and a warm cup of tea.
Our almond biscuits fully encapsulate the colours, aromas and flavours of the island.
They are sweets, which, due to their beautiful and colourful appearance and the flavour of the different aromas they contain, such as almond or orange blossom, give off such an intense fragrance that they are much appreciated as gifts, particularly at Christmas time.
Freshly baked, they are a real treat for the palate, although almond paste is a dessert that should be served cold.
