Homemade pistachio ice cream

Pistachio ice cream, made at home with quality products such as Torrisi`s pistachio spread. The pistachio granules on top of the ice cream give the ice cream a unique crunchiness, ideal for after dinner with friends or to enjoy alone.

  • 4 Moulds
  • 4 Stick

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Whole milk
  • 120 g Torrisi`s Pistachio Cream
  • 200 g Whipping cream
  • 3 Spoons Caster sugar
  • White chocolate q.b.
  • Pistachio grain to taste

Instructions
 

  • n a saucepan put the milk, let it heat up, add the caster sugar and stir well, when the sugar is dissolved, let the milk cool down.
  • In another container put the sweetened milk and cream, mix well, add the Torrisi`s pistachio cream and continue mixing. Now whisk the mixture well so that it becomes well blended, once well blended put the mixture in the fridge and let it cool down (usually overnight).
  • Place the mixture in a mould (whether cups or glasses or special moulds), place a stick inside the chosen mould and place it in the freezer until the ice cream has the desired consistency (approx. 5/6 hours).
  • Cut some white chocolate and put it in a container and melt it over the fire while stirring, pour the melted chocolate into the ice cream stick and add the Torrisi`s pistachio spread and the pistachio granules with a teaspoon.

Notes

Pistachio ice cream can be customised by adding dark chocolate chips or chopped pistachio pieces for a greater variety of textures and flavours.
